What Orléans clients usually call us about
Separation and family law, in French
You have the right to proceed in French in Ontario family court, and it matters when you are explaining your family to a judge or mediator. We prepare separation agreements, financial disclosure and court documents in French or English, and we tell you up front which is likely to move faster for your file. See family law.
Planning for aging parents
A lot of our Orléans work is adult children helping a parent put powers of attorney in place before they are needed. We meet the parent alone for part of the appointment, as we must, to make sure the wishes are their own, and we will come to the house or residence to do it. See wills and estates.
Downsizing and selling the family home
When a long-time Orléans homeowner sells, we handle the sale, the mortgage discharge and, when needed, a power of attorney signing on the seller’s behalf. See real estate law.
Meeting us from Orléans
Most Orléans clients never need to drive downtown. Consultations, document reviews and most signings can be done by secure video, and we offer Thursday evening appointments for people who can’t take time off work. When you do come in, our office at 100 Example Street, Suite 410 is wheelchair accessible with paid parking nearby.
